Geneva Motor Show Lexus 200h CT

Lexus has revealed details of its new compact CT 2011 Lexus 200h hybrid, which will be presented next week at the Geneva Motor Show 2010. Serving as the entry point to the CT 200h Lexus will enter production later this year for worldwide sale, which probably means the car is aimed at local cinemas.


Lexus hopes its latest model will be able to attract new and younger customers to the brand, which currently suffers an average age of buyers of the highest in the industry. Not surprisingly, the CT 200h is equipped with the technology and its advanced hybrid propulsion system and funky multi-touch remote control function.
Design and Development Workshop was held with the European market in mind, with objectives such as the BMW 1 Series and Audi A3 clearly in the sights of CT 200h. The car has strong visual links to the LF-Ch concept introduced last year and has a conventional five-door body with elements of the Lexus brand.
According to Lexus, CT 200h is built on a new platform dedicated double wishbone and rear arm, rear suspension system. Up front is a MacPherson strut configuration and a new front anti-roll bar.
Its hybrid powertrain combines a 1.8-liter engine with a gasoline engine power. Drivers have a choice of four selectable modes: Normal and focus of ECO in the efficiency and comfort, while the sport focuses on the dynamic behavior. The 200h also has a TC EV (Electric Vehicle), the electrical conduction mode only at speeds of up to 28 mph in a distance of 1.2 miles.
Inside, the dashboard is divided into a superior display with eight-inch LCD multi-screen and a smaller area operation with the shift lever and other controls, such as New Multi-Touch remote control function. There is also a reasonable amount of storage space up to 24.7 meters cubic available when the rear seats folded.
